PROJECT OVERVIEW
A Smart Approach
to Carpark Lighting
Carpark lighting is an essential component of commercial building operations, providing visibility and a comfortable environment for drivers and pedestrians. However, conventional lighting systems can consume significant amounts of electricity when operating continuously, even during periods of low activity.
At Fusionopolis One in Singapore, BZERO Technologies implemented a smart carpark lighting upgrade designed to improve energy efficiency while maintaining appropriate illumination for daily operations.

Project at a Glance
Project
Fusionopolis One, Singapore
Solution
Smart LED Tubes with Integrated Motion Sensors
Key Result
49.1% Reduction in Monthly Lighting Energy Consumption
Simple Payback Period
2.17 Years
Smart Lighting Features
High-Efficiency Smart LED Tubes
18W smart LED tubes operate at just 9W under the project’s 50% output setting, delivering energy efficiency while maintaining suitable carpark illumination.
Intelligent Motion Detection
Integrated microwave sensors automatically increase lighting when movement is detected and dim to a configurable 20% standby level during inactivity, reducing unnecessary energy use.
Wireless Connectivity & Smart Control
Bluetooth Mesh connectivity enables coordinated lighting control without additional control wiring for the wireless network. Manage brightness, scheduling, and group settings through a mobile application.

THE CHALLENGE
A Reducing Energy Waste
in Carpark Lighting
Before the upgrade, the carpark relied on conventional lighting that operated continuously, regardless of occupancy levels.
Across one floor with 305 lighting points, the existing system recorded approximately:
3,753.09 kWh
Monthly electricity consumption
$1,305.33
Monthly electricity costs
The goal
Improve lighting efficiency, reduce operating expenses, and introduce smarter control through an easy-to-manage solution.
Measurable Project Results
THE RESULTS
49.1% Reduction in Energy Consumption
Following the lighting upgrade, monthly energy consumption decreased from 3,753.09 kWh to approximately 1,909.84 kWh.
This represents an estimated monthly reduction of 1,843.25 kWh.
